Meixian Huang, MSTOM, L.Ac., LMT, MLD-C
Meixian Huang L.Ac., LMT, earned her Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science, driven by a childhood curiosity about the biomechanics and physiology of the human body—how people move and function. Growing up in China, she experienced the seamless integration of Eastern and Western medicine, which deepened her passion for understanding the body's intricate workings.
Mei values the synergy between acupuncture and Western medical practices, using this blend to enhance natural healing processes. Her approach to healthcare is holistic, addressing the body, mind, and soul to create a supportive environment for healing.
Specializing in gastrointestinal disorders, women's health, psycho-emotional conditions, and pain management, Mei takes a comprehensive approach in her clinical practice. Beyond patient care, she mentors aspiring acupuncturists as a teacher assistant at PCHS, sharing her expertise and guiding future professionals.
Currently pursuing her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and Five Branches University, Mei continues her education in specialized areas such as post-stroke recovery (Xing Nao Kai Qiao), oncology support, diabetes, Japanese Acupuncture, and healthy aging (Yang Shen). Under the mentorship of Dr. Henry McCann, Mei refines her skills in Master Tung Acupuncture, committed to ongoing learning and professional growth to deliver exceptional care.
Outside her practice and studies, Mei volunteers in the Brooklyn, providing acupuncture and Reiki to underserved communities. Her dedication to equitable healthcare extends through teaching and community involvement, aiming to make a meaningful impact and improve healthcare accessibility for all.
